The Consulting FacilitiGroup Engineering Manager i s recognized as an expert within the organization. Anticipates internal and or external business challenges and/or regulatory issues; recommends process, product or service improvements. Solves unique and complex problems that have a broad impact on the business. Contributes to the development of functional strategy; leads project teams to achieve milestones and objectives. Operates with no supervision in a complex environment. Mechanical : Extensive knowledge of mechanical systems present in acute care hospitals; including but not limited to HVAC systems, chiller plants, Steam Plants, Medical Gas Systems and Building Automation Systems. Electrical: Extensive knowledge of electrical systems present in acute care hospitals; including but not limited to generator systems, automatic transfer switches, paralleling gear and switch gear. Regulatory : Thorough knowledge of Joint Commission, OSHA, NFPA and other healthcare regulatory agencies requirements. Other Qualifications : Ability to work simultaneously on multiple projects; Excellent communication skills required to explain technical issues to financial people; Proficient in preparing written reports which include financial analysis
