Description
At Baptist Memorial Rehabilitation Hospital the Infection Control / Employee Health Nurse / RN/Educator will consult with physicians, managers, and staff for the management of infectious and/or immuno-suppressed patients. The Infection Control / Employee Health Nurse / RN implements an effective hospital-wide infection control program in keeping with Centers for Disease Control (CDC), JCAHO, and other regulatory agencies. The Infection Control / Employee Health Nurse / RN directs all functions of the Employee Health program. Qualifications: Graduate of accredited registered nurse program with current licensure. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support. Obtain BLS instructor certification within one year of accepting the position. Two years of active bedside care delivery. Obtain Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (CRRN) within three years of accepting the position. Demonstrated ability to plan, coordinate, evaluate and direct activities of clinical personnel; effective oral and written communication skills, in English with additional languages preferred; proficiency in basic computer skills required.
