Job Description
A Neurophysiology Technologist is responsible for providing accurate, high quality neurodiagnostic testing. Formal training in Electroencephalography (EEG) or Nerve Conduction Studies. The CNIM Tech will perform complex multi-modality neuromonitoring independently and can modify monitoring techniques to accommodate a variety of intraoperative situations. The CNIM will set up and perform all requests for monitoring and mapping multi-modalities including MEP's, SSEP's, BAER's, EMG's, EEG's adn a variety of stimulation procedures
(1) Nerve Conduction Studies/Evoked Potentials (2) Electroencephalography/Evoked Potentials (3) Nerve Conduction Studies/Operating Room Monitoring (4) Electroencephalography/Operating Room Monitoring (5) Long-term Electroencephalography (Epilepsy Monitoring Unit)
QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required.Minimum 5 Years experience in intraoperative neurophysiologic monitoring required.CNIM (Certified Neurophysiologic Intraoperative Monitoring) or DABNM (Diplomate, American Board of Neurophysiologic Monitoring) Certification required.Experience in Sterile Technique and OR orientation required.BSN required and Teaching Hospital experience preferred.Basic Life Support Certification is required upon hire and must be valid for 90 days or greater from start date.
