Job Description Provides rapid psychosocial assessment for children, adolescents, and adults within psychiatric emergency services. Ensure safety and stabilization through descalation & medications. Obtain pre-auths for inpatient care through insurance. Will require access to EMR, Training provided. Mental health and substance abuse social workers help clients with mental illnesses or addictions. They provide information on services, such as support groups or 12-step programs, to help clients cope with their illness. Many clinical social workers function in these roles as well.
