ER Nurse Practitioner - Located 140 miles southeast of Reno, the nearest urban center. The hospital has 11 licensed acute beds and 24 long term beds. - Why work here? PERKS - Excellent benefits and qualify for PERFS (public employees retirement system) which is a state of California benefit where the hospital puts an additional 28% of the employees base salary goes into this retirement account, 5 years vesting and very lucrative - Will also be eligible for loan repayment through the state of NV (amount TBD) - Hospital pays malpractice, licencing fees etc. - 11 paid holidays, 5 paid CME a year and 3k reimbursement for it, 15 PTO and 15 sick days per year - Compensation for a new grad begins at $40 an hour; Additional $15/ hour for on call work and time 1/2 when you get called in. For weekends and holidays they get paid hourly rate for the full day. - Also get patient bonus for any patients that they admit, get 50% of discharge bill and this bonus usually comes out to about 40k for the year! ** This is their first ER Nurse Practitioner position. Shift should wise plan on doing 4 10's, night shift, low volume ER about 8 patients a day and 85% of them does't really count as ER work, community is about 8000 people **
