Resource Coordinator/DON---Rehab
Under the general supervision of the Manager of the unit, the Resource Coordinator/Skilled DON is responsible for facilitating teamwork, coordinating in conjunction with health care teams, organizing staffing, monitoring supplies/equipment, completing patient flow/scheduling, and functions as a change agent for the unit. Develop, motivate, assess and negotiate as a change agent in an effort to enhance organizational effectiveness. Assist the nursing home administrator to ensure skilled nursing unit regulatory compliance is followed, as well as participate in the skilled nursing unit meetings. Utilizes the nursing process to care for adult and geriatric patients based on current standards of practice. Functions within the permissible scope of nursing practice as defined by the Georgia Board of Nursing.
Additional Education Information
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN, preferred.. Additional unit specific education and/or certification may be required
2-3 years of nursing experience
