Infection Prevention RN needed in Central California.
The facility is a 34-bed critical access hospital on the outskirts of the beautiful Yosemite national park. Since the doors opened in 1951 they have been serving the community and are hoping to have someone come and join the facility. For a critical access facility they are able to have various specialist services, something not all critical access hospitals have.
In this role you will be responsible for the surveillance, prevention, and control of infections in the District. Additional duties include:
Participating in program evaluation and recommendation; infection control education and prevention, product/procedure evaluation; implementation of changes mandated by regulatory and licensing agenciesParticipating in research projectsAssures a high quality of patient care by eliminating the risk of infection to patients and District personnelEstablishes baseline nosocomial infection rates to serve as a guideline for prevention and controlQualifications:
BSN BLS & ACLS requiredMinimum 1 year experience (MedSurg)CIC preferred (Certification in Infection Control)
