Looking for a Laboratory Manager to join a non-profit, critical access hospital in a beautiful part of CA right by the lake! Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Medical Technology, Biology or Chemistry. Current California CLS license required with blood bank and microbiology experience required.Job Description: Responsible for coordinating and supervising all functions of the Clinical Laboratory. This includes staffing, training, scheduling, budgeting and cost containment. Responsible for recognizing results or problems that requires referral to the Pathologist and maintaining PAR and relating with various department physicians and administration.Must be able to operate a variety of clinical laboratory equipment and is responsible for evaluating new testing methods and new instrumentation before implementation in the Clinical Lab.Develops and implements policies and procedures that meet requirements for licensure and other regulatory requirements. Must be capable of working under pressure and must be able to effectively communicate in English; both verbal and written.Must have good interpersonal skills and interface professionally, tactfully and respectfully with patients, staff, the general public and governmental agencies. Good computer skills required
