Reference Code: NEC058 Complete Description Job Summary: Responsible for overall administrative and clinical performance of the laboratory, also perform CLS functions. Predominately day shift but need to be willing and able to occasionally fill in for a night shift as needed.
Education: Must have a current California Clinical Laboratory Scientist license.
Experience: Five years' experience as a clinical lab supervisor or comparable experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Computer skills desirable (word processing, spreadsheet, lab management programs, Electronic Health Records). Financial knowledge skills desirable (budgeting, operating costs/profits, equipment acquisition forecasting, rate setting methodologies). An understanding of the mechanical operations of laboratory equipment and troubleshooting ability desirable. Expertise in phlebotomy desirable. Successful experience in working with the public is preferred.
