Director of Surgical Services: Responsible for planning, coordinating, implementing and administering nursing services management activities. Organizes and administers specific departments of Patient Care Services to attain the division’s objectives as established by the CNO and hospital administration. Coordinates and administers the nursing staffing and scheduling systems.
Education: Must possess a current NM license as a Registered Nurse or a multi-state compact license that allows the nurse to work in NM. BSN required.
Experience: Minimum of five years hands on nursing experience. Five years nursing leadership with demonstrated ability in the management of clinical staff and performance improvement concepts. Advanced nursing education is desired with equivalent knowledge and skills. Must be able to perform work according to hospital and professional standards.
Licenses/Certificates: Must possess a current NM license as a Registered Nurse or a multi-state compact license that allows the nurse to work in NM. National executive and/or clinical certifications preferred. BLS & ACLS Required. CNOR preferred. PALS required. CPI Certification must be obtained During NEO.
