Assistant Manager of Transfusion Services
Schedule: Full time
We are seeking an Assistant Manager of Transfusion Services to serve as a member of the leadership team that oversees coordinated operations among the three hospital-based Rapid Response Laboratories
Candidate must communicate effectively, in both written and oral environments, in all interactions that relate to Transfusion Services policy and practice and educate effectively and diplomatically. The candidate must demonstrate skills and experience as a Transfusion Services leader, supervisor and educator, and be capable of making sound and ethical decisions, particularly as they relate to transfusion therapy.
The Assistant Manager of Transfusion Services must gain and retain the respect and confidence of laboratory peers, senior leadership and present and potential clients while supporting company policies and procedures set forth by Laboratory Alliance, including the company’s mission and vision statements.
This full-time position requires a baccalaureate degree and a minimum of six years of relevant transfusion services experience. The Assistant Manager must qualify as a medical technologist under NYS Department of Health Regulation Part 58.15 and have a valid New York State license issued by the New York State Department of Education.
