NEW Blood Bank Technologist II OR Red Cell Technologist II Opening at one of the nation's foremost organizations specializing in transfusion medicine and related services. The hallmarks of their services are rapid turnaround coupled with expert diagnostic, consultative, and educational support for patients and physicians. By working closely with their health care provider partners to establish standards for transfusion decisions, they ensure that all patients receive the proper type and dosage of transfusion products. This is a permanent and full time, variable shift, position. This position exists to perform serological investigation of problems in the areas of immunohematology and provides a source of technical expertise for the healthcare community. For consideration, applicants must have his or her B.S. degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or a related field, in addition to an ASCP certification as a MT, MLS, BB or SBB (preferred). In addition, applicants should have at least 2-3 years of experience in Reference Lab or experience in complex serological problem resolution OR 3-5 years' experience in a transfusion service preferred.
