Occupational Health Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant opening: Location: Wenatchee, WA
Department: Occupational Medicine Schedule: Full Time, Day Shift
JOB FUNCTIONS
ESSENTIAL:
Perform history and physical examinations on new and follow-up patients with work related injuries/illnesses/exposures.Perform history and physical examination for employment-based physical examinations to determine fit-for-duty status.Initiate appropriate laboratory, radiologic and special examinations or tests required for the evaluation of condition.Provide counseling and instruction regarding patient problems, referring patient to other services. Make complete chart entries on patient transaction, writing orders and recording progress notes which will be reviewed and countersigned by the responsible physician.Prepare and complete necessary L&I paperwork, fit-for-duty sign off, and/or return to work instruction.
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Master's or Doctoral degree in advanced nursing practice, or completion of at least one academic year in a non?graduate program for the training of an advanced registered nurse practitioner prior to January 1, 1995.
LICENSING/CERTIFICATIONS:
Current licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Washington.Current licensure as an advanced registered nurse practitioner in the State of Washington.Current certification by a national certifying body.Current prescriptive authority licensure/registration in Washington State and with the Federal Drug Enforcement Agency, including authority to write prescriptions for controlled substances as appropriate and as allowed by statute [WACs 246?839?300, 246?839?305, 246?839?320, 246?839?400, 246?839?410, 246?839?420 & RCW 18.88.280(16)].
