This medical group is comprised of a full-time, salaried staff numbering more than 400 physicians and other advanced practice clinicians who provide primary and specialty care at the medical center. They also staff over two dozen community-based primary care centers throughout eight counties. They have 20 school-based health centers across four counties who provide medical, mental health and preventive dental care to children who might otherwise never have the chance to receive this care.
Currently seeking a Full-Time Nurse Manager for the Dialysis Unit!Job Description:
Under general supervision of the Director of Dialysis and with limited supervision by the Division Chief and Medical Director, the Dialysis Nurse Manager has direct managerial responsibility for all non-provider clinical staff within the Dialysis division.  The Nurse Manager oversees the day-to-day clinical operations for the Dialysis division and serves as critical member of the Dialysis/Nephrology Management team with direct oversight of staffing, quality assurance, performance improvement, equipment ordering and regulatory compliance.  The Nurse Manager will assure the appropriate application of nursing and technical processes for Dialysis treatments in the Dialysis Division.  Additionally, the Nurse Manager acts as an expert resource in the field of Nephrology Nursing and participates in staffing as needed.  The Nurse Manager will work with multidisciplinary team members to plan, implement and facilitate systems and programs in the deliver of dialysis treatments across the network.
Minimum RequirementsEducation: Bachelors degree in Nursing required
Experience: 5 years of Nephrology nursing experience required 2 years leadership experience required
Licensure/Certifications: Current NYS RN License BLS Certification required within 6 months from date of hire ACLS Certification required within 6 months from date of hire Nephrology Nursing Certification required within 6 months from date of hire
Skills: Ability to assess patient status and take appropriate action is required Demonstrated competency in required nursing skills relevant to area of Nephrology nursing Ability to multi-task effectively in a rapidly changing environment Ability to function in a leadership capacity Ability to precept and mentor other staff members Ability to accomplish management duties as assigned by the Director
