Description
This community healthcare provider has a 25-bed inpatient facility with outpatient, medical, surgical, diagnostic and emergency care for the southwestern New Mexico region. They also offer a skilled nursing unit and long term care.
Currently seeking a Full-Time Medical Laboratory Technician or Medical Technologist
Description:
Performs routine and specialized moderate and high complexity laboratory tests on all types of blood and body fluid specimens under minimal supervision. Insures accurate and reliable test results by adhering to a strict quality control program. Performs instrument function checks and preventative maintenance procedures according to department's policies and procedures. Maintains records and statistical data according to regulative requirements. Participates in laboratory QC/QA programs as needed to perform testing in all departments.
Qualifications:
Education: MT-BS degree from an accredited college or university required in Medical Technology. Degree must be in Medical Technology or one of the biological or chemical sciences. Laboratory training through an accredited laboratory school preferred. MLT-Associated Degree from an accredited college or university in a Laboratory Field. Degree must be in Medical Laboratory Sciences or one of the biological or chemical sciences. Laboratory training through an accredited laboratory school preferred
Experience: Two years experience as a MLT and/or MT
Licenses/Certificates: ASCP Certification or equivalent preferred
