As a RN Director of Clinical Management, you will: Maintain full responsibility over day-to-day functions of the quality of care, service and related costs. Responsible for the oversight of the assessment and evaluation, intervention and documentation of patient and family needs. Ensure adequate staffing to meet patient/family care needs. Ensure Productivity Standards are being met by all disciplines. Ensure a weekly schedule is prepared by the PCM(s) for all disciplines. Ensure that all Conditions of Participation, regulatory standards and Standards of Care are being met. Ensure that staff education needs are assessed and that the needs are being addressed. Serve as “Administrator On-Call” and provide 24-hour availability and administrative call as scheduled. Participate in evening/weekend on-call as required, conducting on-call services in a competent and responsible manner. Ensure that appropriate level of care is provided to all patients. Participate in agency and community programs as requested to promote professional growth and understanding of hospice care. Regularly visit contracted facilities to maintain good working relationship with their management and staff. Manage hospice physicians’ visit schedules, certification/recertification process, and clinical oversight issues. Responsible for recruiting, hiring, supervising, coaching and developing PCM(s), Volunteer Coordinator, Bereavement Coordinator, CC Coordinator and CQI Manager. Oversee general orientation and discipline specific orientation. Participate in orientation and in-service training for all professional and para-professional staff. Ensure that the program is survey ready and maintain compliance of Medicare and state survey requirements and all regulatory agencies. Maintain internal regulatory surveys at greater than or equal to 90 percent compliance. Responsible for management of Pharmacy, DME, labor and supply costs within budget. Audit and approve patient care-related invoices. Qualifications Active RN License Experience in healthcare management Demonstrated ability to provide leadership to professional and administrative personnel Demonstrated knowledge of business/financial management and in-depth knowledge of the Medicare hospice benefit Excellent written and verbal skills Strong working knowledge of relevant computer programs Demonstrate good organizational, people and problem-solving skills Understanding of hospice care and the services provided to patient/family/caregiver through an interdisciplinary team Thorough knowledge and understanding of reimbursement/appeal processes Possess good organization, people, and problem-solving skills Ability to work in an interdisciplinary setting
