The Regional Manager of Clinical Support Services serves as a subject matter expert and oversees and directs the implementation of new and existing clinical initiatives for Clinical Support Services ie; Medical Social Workers, Managers of Volunteer Services, Spiritual Care and Bereavement Coordinators within the Hospice Division. Abides by and demonstrates the company Mission – Vision – Values through both behavior and job performance on a day-to-day basis. Organizes and provides comprehensive education/in-service to area employees of the clinical support team, under the direction of Regional Leadership Consults with Regional/ Area/ Site-Location staff to identify solutions to program, area and regional needs and concerns related to psychosocial/spiritual/ bereavement/ volunteer programming. Manages resources wisely and identifies opportunities to improve efficiency and performance. Under the direction and supervision of Divisional/ Regional Leadership, implements recommended changes or revisions to policies and procedures Collaborates on orientation, in-service training, and continuing education to ensure clinical support staff is competent to provide services and optimal patient care. Participates in performance improvement and quality improvement activities for the Region Maintains awareness of changes in the regulations and requirements by accrediting bodies and current methodology and practices Maintains a good working relationship both within the department and with other departments Collaborates with Regional/ Area operations and clinical management teams to assist in meeting business and clinical objectives – supporting/maximizing current business activities, future growth and provision of quality patient care Identifies qualified candidates within the Region to serve as Area Camp Coordinators that assist with bereavement camps Serves as a consultation/ subject matter expert to Area Camp Coordinators on for programming and issues related to camp scheduling, grief group activities/ programming, education/ training of camp volunteers and community outreach efforts Participates in marketing activities related to advertisement of bereavement camps, including speaking engagements, press releases, and sales blitzes. Ensures that Area Camp Coordinators are marketing each bereavement camp according to Company standards. Participates in risk management and safety activities and ensures notification to appropriate divisional and corporate team members as necessary. Under the direction of Division/ Regional Leadership, provides expertise/ consultation in answering questions from field staff regarding policy /regulation /procedures /documentation / best practices Follows Gentiva expense and travel guidelines; exercises prudent judgment relative to expenses. Adheres to and participates in Company’s mandatory HIPAA privacy program/practices and Business Ethics and Compliance programs / practices. Reviews and adheres to all Company policies and procedures and the Employee Handbook. Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned. Master’s degree in Social Work with a minimum of five years clinical experience in the hospice setting. Must be licensed as an LCSW in the state S/he resides. A comprehensive knowledge of state/ federal regulations and industry standards is required. Computer proficiency and a working knowledge of Microsoft programs is required. Extensive travel required.
