Starmed is in partnership with a Hospice and Palliative Care Company to identify a Director of Nursing in Portland, Oregon! Reporting directly to the CEO this position is responsible for leading, managing and directing the nursing program. The Director of Nursing Services assures the provision of high quality, reliable and cost-effective palliative clinical services to patients and families living with serious illnesses. Working with the leadership team the Director of Nursing Services assures the delivery of top notch clinical care that meets regulatory requirements and distinguishes this company as a not-for-profit provider utilizing state-of-the-art program development, continuous improvement, and personnel management practices. Accountable for assuring adequate nursing staffing to support the delivery of nursing care across multiple settings.
Qualifications:
? Requires a bachelor’s degree at minimum, master’s degree is preferred
? Requires current Registered Nurse (RN) State of Oregon license prior to first day of employment.
? Requires a minimum of two to three years of progressive management and/or leadership experience.
? Requires clinical expertise in the art and science of palliative and hospice care
? Requires proficiency in use of electronic medical records and business software
? Requires a working knowledge of continuous quality improvement and regulatory compliance
? Must have a valid driver’s license and access to a reliable automobile.
