StarMed has partnered with a large hospital system in Florida to assist with adding Utilization Review Liaisons to their expanding Care Coordination departments! The position will be based out of their award winning Level 1 Trauma Center. They will be responsible for ensuring an efficient, cost effective care management process by determining the patient’s medical necessity and financial liability through the coordination of insurance reviews and issuance of authorization numbers through submission of required clinical information. Guides the care managers in the performance of medical record reviews for medical necessity of admission and the placement of the patient in appropriate bed status.

Full-time, Mon-Fri, day shift
No weekends or holidays

What you need to bring to the table to be considered:
Bachelor’s degree in health related field or Master’s in Social Work (MSW), Mental Health Counseling (MHC), or Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT).
If Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or health-related field, must possess and maintain RN license in the State of Florida
Five (5) years of related healthcare experience to include two (2) years of experience in Utilization Management, Discharge Planning, Case Management or Care Coordination.
