This position must provide superior communication skills, customer satisfaction and follow required guidelines while maintaining nursing home and Century Rehab's stellar reputation. Position Focus: Once the Physical Therapists conduct routine examinations to measure each patients' balance, posture and muscle performance as well as review and understand their medical history, they develop a customized rehabilitation and treatment plan to increase strength and lessen pain. Treatment plans often include different exercises and stretches, as well as hands-on therapies and machines to assist with improving muscle strength, range of motion and motor function. Physical Therapist Assistants require a mix of skillful, hands-on care and organizational acumen. They are a key part of the clinical team, who make sure both the patients and the facility therapy practice move smoothly. Physical Therapist Assistants aid Therapists in helping patients with rehabilitation treatments and techniques to benefit patients and regain some level of mobility. Physical Therapist Assistants will usually teach proper exercise techniques and encourage patients to adopt a fitness plan to help strengthen their muscles with exercise equipment. They may also assist with other duties, such as cleaning therapy spaces and recording data on patient progress.
