Description
This 27-bed medical center is located in beautiful Southern Alaska. This facility serves a small but mighty community and dedicate themselves to providing the best care in a safe, healing environment. Some of their services include emergency, laboratory, home health, imaging, long-term care, physical therapy, as well as surgery.
Southeast Alaska, also known as Alaska's Inside Passage, is arguably one of the most beautiful places on Earth. A network of sheltered waterways and seaside towns offer spectacular views of wilderness, snow-capped mountains, glacier-fed rivers, and native wildlife. Ferries are the preferred method of transportation and are the easiest way to experience the totality of the Inside Passage. The small towns in the region offer opportunities to shop and take in the unique culture of Southern Alaska, while the rugged terrain provides travelers plenty of natural resources for hiking, fishing, kayaking, and camping.
Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required.
Alaska Physical Therapy license in good standing. DPT preferred but not required. BLS.
Shift or schedule requirements.
8 a.m. - 5 p.m., Monday - Friday. Employee may work alone. May include very limited weekend or evening shift
Bed size/number of rooms for this unit/dept.
6 - 10 patients per day on average.
Dress Code:
Business casual with "Casual Friday" on Fridays.
Tell us about the unit/department specific training and orientation program.
Direct, one-on-one training in use of the computer system and documentation requirements. Other training as needed.
Additional Comments:
This position will at times require training of other staff or non-traditional PT tasks which nonetheless fall within the PT practice act and the expectation is that the physical therapist will be competent to learn and willing to accept the challenge,
