The Cardiothoracic Surgeon locum tenens opportunity in Kalamazoo, MI:
-Start date: July 14, 2018
-Dates Needed: July 14-21, 2018 and December 22-29, 2018
-Shift: 7a-7a, 24 hour call; some clinical responsibilities
-Physician will do consults in the hospital which may generate a surgery that needs to be performed urgently or within a few days versus a scheduled case
-Out of 10 days of call, physician may only get called in 1-2 times, but will average 3-4 phone calls a night
-Patient mix: 60% adult, 40% geriatric
-Average # of patients: 10 (clinic), 4 (hospital)
-EMR: Cerner
-Procedures: Aortic Valve Surgery, Mitral Valve Surgery, General Thoracic Surgery
**Requirements: Board Certified or Board Eligible within 5 years of residency, MI license, BLS, ACLS
