California Job Details:

*Specialty*

- Outpatient Neurology plus Call

*Location*

- Sacramento, California

- Large not-for-profit health system

- Hospital: Multispeciality group, over 120 physicians

*Dates*

- January 2020 and ongoing 6-9 months

- Permanent position available

*Clinic Hours*

- Essentially 8am-5pm

*Responsibilities*

- EMG and EEG, EMG machine is Viking / Natus

- Adult patients only; pediatric patients referred out
- Average patients per day: 12 – 16

- New Consults- 1 hour / 40 minutes - negotiable

- Follow Up visits- 15 – 20 minutes

*Call*

- Call is very light – often get no calls and rare to get more than 2 consults in 24 hour period. Get calls more for asking advice and not having to go see a patient.

- Call is 10 days per month including 1 weekend out of 4.

- Call: Clinic and Hospital consults (On weekend call, may get called in 1-2 times for a hospital consult) For call, provider must be within 25 miles (30 minutes).

- Call is fairly light after 9 pm

- Who handles acute stroke call? Stroke team out of Sacramento.

*Required*

- Ideal candidate should be competent to do EMG and EEG and doesn't have to be fellowship trained.

- Preferred but not requiring the following fellowships: EMG, Dementia, MS, or Epilepsy

- Need CA licensed
