The applicant’s primary duties include participation in and expansion of a premier established comprehensive Neurotrauma/Neurocritical Care program as well as general neurological surgery. The successful applicant will be expected to lead Neurocritical Care clinical and educational efforts within the department, including directing the CAST-certified fellowship program, as well as engage in clinical and/or basic research. The successful applicant will also provide general neurosurgery care at the academic medical center and the adjacent VA Hospital and will have the opportunity to work closely with the spine team in caring for patients with traumatic spine injury, in addition to degenerative and deformity patients. A successful applicant would benefit to have an interest in spinal cord injury research.

This academic appointment will be at the Assistant or Associate Professor level, within or outside of the tenure stream, commensurate with the applicant's background and academic productivity. Candidates should also be board certified or board eligible in Neurosurgery in the United States or Canada.
