The Department of Neurological Surgery at Vanderbilt University Medical Center is seeking qualified applicants to join one of the premiere functional neurosurgery programs in North America. Our program has a practice volume of nearly 1000 procedures per year and a proven record of leadership in the field of functional neurosurgery. This position is aimed at a junior or mid?level faculty member desiring to benefit from a highly integrated clinical and research team with a dedication to teaching. The position will include time at both the Vanderbilt University Medical Center and Nashville Veterans Administration Hospital.

Clinical interests should complement the existing areas of expertise in movement disorders, pain disorders, epilepsy, and novel directions for neuromodulation. Opportunities to help foster the next leaders in functional neurosurgery are evident in a CAST accredited fellowship program in functional neurosurgery and several residents pursuing academic neurosurgical careers.

Candidates should have completed an ACGME accredited neurological surgery residency program. Post? graduate fellowship training in functional neurosurgery is preferred but not mandatory.
