The Department of Neurosurgery at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) offers a one-year fellowship in clinical Neurosurgical Oncology, with an option for a one to two- year research fellowship in a laboratory of their choice We are now accepting applications for two fellowship positions for the 2022-2023 academic year. The clinical year provides fellows with extensive experience in surgery and radiosurgery for benign and malignant brain tumors, pituitary tumors and other skull base tumors, spine tumors, peripheral nerve tumors, pediatric tumors and pain procedures. In addition, the fellowship offers exposure to a multitude of didactic conferences, tumor boards and multidisciplinary clinics. The research year provides fellows experience in basic and translational research.

Fellows are exposed to more than 1,000 major operative cases during the year. Fellows are also responsible for preoperative and postoperative patient care, and on non-operating days, they participate in outpatient clinics, doing hospital consultations, and supervising and instructing residents and medical students.

Dr. Viviane Tabar, including one from their program head, and a statement addressing their interests in pursuing a neurosurgical oncology fellowship. Interested applicants must have completed their neurosurgical residency training by June 2022 and be board eligible.
