Description
Spine Oncology Fellowship
The Department of Neurosurgery at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) is seeking candidates for a one-year fellowship in Spine Oncology. The MSK multi-disciplinary spine tumor service is a fully integrated effort with neurosurgery, radiation oncology, interventional radiology, pain, and physiatry performing over 4,000 procedures annually. Treatment is focused on the management of metastatic and primary spine malignancies, benign spine and peripheral nerve tumors, and degenerative spine conditions. In addition to standard spine oncology approaches such as separation surgery, the recent surgical emphasis has been on the integration of minimally invasive spine procedures including percutaneous pedicle screws, endoscopy, and robotics. The fellowship offers extensive opportunities for clinical research. Interested applicants should send curriculum vitae, three letters of reference addressed to Dr. Mark Bilsky, including one from their program head, and a statement addressing their interests in pursuing a neurosurgical Spine Oncology fellowship.
For 2022 - 2023, please submit your materials by October 15, 2020 to our fellowship mailbox: xxxxxxxxxxx*
