Description
Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner is appointed by the Medical Director subject to the approval of the Facility Director. The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner is clinically and administratively responsible to the Medical Director. Performs advanced clinical medical care under the supervision of a physician. Work involves assessing, planning, and providing comprehensive patient care independently or in collaboration with health care professionals. Work involves directing medical activities/treatment: monitoring trends and activities, making recommendations for improvement. All other duties as assigned by the Medical Director/Facility Director. May plan, assign, and/or supervise the work of others. Works under minimal supervision with extensive latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment
