Description
Department of Gastroenterology includes inpatient procedures and also outpatient procedures at all three Prisma Midlands Hospitals (Richland, Baptist, Baptist Parkridge). Hospital rounding and all procedures are scheduled from 7a-5p daily.
Outpatient procedures: up to 8-10 outpatient procedures daily
Inpatient: Up to 8-12 inpatient census (varies)/ 1-2 procedures daily
Adults only (18+)
EMR: Cerner, EPIC transition in Spring 2021
Technology used: Olympus endoscopes/Ingenious med for billing/ TelmedIQ for answering service (call)
Required skills: general endoscopy care-EGD, Colonoscopy with Polypectomy, Peg Tube placement, flex sigmoidoscopy, moderate sedation, video capsule endoscopy, esophageal dilation.
***Provider will need to be willing to work any of the schedules listed below based on need:
24/7 hour coverage (Monday-Monday). Inpatient/outpatient procedures from 7a-5p M-F and on-call from 5p-7a M-F. Weekend call coverage begins Friday 5p-Monday 7a.
Inpatient/Outpatient procedures (M-F 7a-5p, call from 5p-7a M-TH)
Inpatient/Outpatient procedures (M-F 7a-5p, no call)
Must be board certified in GI
Malpractice: no more than 1
Strongly preferred to have SC license in hand
**Must have worked GI inpatient within the last 90 days**
Contract length: 6 months, potential to extend
Privileging time frame: 60-90 days
