Description
Cardiology Tuomey.
ASAP start, provider needs to be able to be privileged quickly (emergency process). End date is currently indefinite.
Setting: Both inpatient and outpatient
Schedule: Monday - Friday (8am - 5 pm)
Call: 1-2/5 weeknight and weekend call
Patient Volume: A max of 28 patients a day in the ambulatory setting with no hospital coverage, with a range of 5-15 to round on with an APP in acute care. 20 patients a day in the ambulatory setting with hospital coverage.
Patient Population: Mainly older adults with cardiovascular issues
EMR: EPIC
Special Procedures: There is a cath lab onsite at Tuomey where diagnostic cath's can be performed if warranted. The ability to do this is not required. There is a need for someone to be able to read Echo and Nuclear Studies as well as EKG's.
Requirements:
Board Certified in Cardiovascular Disease, Interventional Cardiology and/or Electrophysiology
Skills preferred:
Ability to read echo and nuclear studies.
Prisma Health Cardiology on the Prisma Health Tuomey campus in Sumter, SC. The department has 1 full time physician who is on unexpected medical leave, and 3 full time APP's with 3 additional physicians rotating weekly. The additional support staff includes an onsite practice manager, echo/vascular technician, exercise physiologist, 2 RN's, 2 CMA's and four clerical staff.
