Description
- No ICU rounding
- No Vent management
- No Procedures
- Pulm/Crit runs Code Blues
- Day shift 10 hours – Geographic Rounding
- Rounding volume 12-14 patient encounters inclusive of admissions
- Admit to geographic floor from 8am until 2pm – afternoon for finishing work, talking to patients/families, documentation
- APP Support to buffer surges
- Full Sub-specialty support in house – Cardiology, Infectious Disease, GI, Heme/Onc, Pulmonary, General Surgery, Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, Urology, Gynecology, Cardiothoracic, ENT, OMFS, Palliative, Nephrology, Vascular, Neurology, IR, Podiatry, Plastics, Trauma, Colo-Rectal
- Overnight In House – Hospital Medicine, Pulmonary Critical Care, Surgical Critical Care, General Surgery, Trauma – All other specialties on call and available
- PICC line service 8a-8p
- Swing Shift 2pm-12am, last admit 11pm, cross cover only between 6pm and 8pm only, staffed for 1 admission every 1.5 hours. Low acuity ICU admits only – BiPAP, single presser, no vents, can defer to critical care if appropriate.
- ICU COVID admission done by Pulmonary/Critical Care
