(Click Apply Now to apply to this job) has full-time, civilian contracted opportunities for Pediatric Occupational Therapists to provide early intervention services to our (Click Apply Now to apply to this job). military families stationed overseas. The (Click Apply Now to apply to this job). Air Force and (Click Apply Now to apply to this job). Navy EDIS contract does require a minimum of 2 full years within the last 5 years of Early Intervention experience working with the age group, birth to 3 years old.
Locations are Bahrain ((Click Apply Now to apply to this job). Naval Base) and with the (Click Apply Now to apply to this job). Air Force at Aviano Air Base, Italy.
Start date is pending all Government approvals, which takes 4-6 months for their approvals.
The Government’s qualification requirements are:
Shall possess a Master’s Degree form an accredited Occupational Therapy program approved by the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) and have two (2) years of pediatric experience within the last five (5) years.
Shall have and maintain board certification and a current license to practice Occupational Therapy in any one of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Guam or the (Click Apply Now to apply to this job). Virgin Islands that allows for the independent practice of clinical services. This license shall be current (not revoked, suspended, or lapsed in registration), valid (the issuing authority accepts and considers QA information ((Click Apply Now to apply to this job). practitioner professional performance and conduct in determining continued licenses), and unrestricted (not subject to restriction pertaining to the scope, location, or type of practice ordinarily granted to other applicants for similar licenses in granting jurisdiction). “
Shall have knowledge and preferably have experience working in family-centered early intervention models and school-based settings.
MRS providers shall have a minimum of two (2) years of school-based services experience working with special education departments in a school setting. All providers should have at least one (1) year within the past five (5) years of experience working within the age group for which employment is being considered. This experience may also be gained during practicum, internship, or a clinical fellowship as part of a degree program.
