Job Description

A San Ysidro, California based client is seeking an exceptional Nurse Practitioner specializing in geriatrics to provide compassionate patient care in a community PACE facility. An ideal candidate is motivated, collaborative, and works well in an interdisciplinary team. This clinic is a fast-paced environment and providers are responsible for the acute and chronic needs of their patients.

Responsibilities
Assess and diagnose a variety of diseases and injuries in elderly patients
Perform therapeutic procedures, including preventative care and follow up
Arrange referrals, consultations, and therapeutic services
Chart review and document all patient encounters efficiently and according to organization policy and JCAHO standards

Skills

Required Qualifications
CA medical license as an NP
CA DEA certificate before start date
Current NP board certification
ACLS certification
Would care
Experience working in the Managed Care System and with the elderly

Preferred Qualifications
Medical Spanish
1-2 years of experience
