Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) Daytona Beach, FL 32114
We are looking for a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our group full time in Daytona Beach, FL to assist with patient care through all phases of physical therapy.
We are looking for a dedicated and motivated Physical Therapy Assistant who is passionate about improving the health and quality of life of our patients. Our ideal candidate is compassionate, a people person who is a team player- collaborating with the team to provide the highest quality care, helping our patients reach their health and wellness goals, effectively and efficiently.
All therapy is done one on one, and our therapists see no more than 12 patients per day, although our goal is to limit them to 10 to allow plenty of documentation time. We are okay with recent grads or seasoned veterans, as we will train you in everything you'll need to excel in this position.

Duties:
• Aids Physical Therapy with patient care including assisting, instructing, and scheduling patients
• Assists patients with all phases of physical therapy treatment and techniques including exercise instruction, manual therapy techniques, activities of daily living, and rehab programs
• Assists PT in performing range of motion and stretching exercises with patients
• Assists PT with documenting and completing notes following patient appointments
• Completes appropriate forms and home treatment instructions for patients as needed
• Assists patients with understanding prescribed health care treatments
• Sets up exercise equipment in treatment rooms as needed by pushing, wheeling or carrying equipment
• Ensures billing forms are accurate and complete prior to submission to billing department
• Escorts patients to appropriate treatment areas
• Maintains proper condition and cleanliness of treatment rooms, sterilizes instruments and equipment following each patient visit and ensures treatment rooms are sufficiently stocked with towels and related supplies
• Monitors inventory of supplies, informs management of supply shortages, examines incoming supply orders, and stores in appropriate area
• Provides effective communication to Colleagues, PTs and Physicians as required
Requirements:
• PTA license in FL
Schedule:
• Full time
• M-Th 7:45am-6pm
Compensation:
• $25/hr
