Clinical Details
Typical Day: round daily in newborn nursey; average of 6 patients; round in level 2 nursery average of 4 patients; round in pediatric inpatient unit average of 3 patients. Be in-house as needed for deliveries and be on-call 24 hours per day, although do not need to be inhouse 24-hours per day, just available. UPMC Altoona has a 22-bassinet level 1 well infant nursery, an 8-bed level 2 neonatal
intermediate care unit, and a 12-bed inpatient pediatric unit.
Provider will work solo
Typical Cases Seen: Majority was well infants, routine delivery, however there is a level 2 nursery for newborns requiring a higher level of care.

Requirements
Active PA License and Licensure
DEA (Active Pennsylvania)
Board Certified/Board Eligible
CPR, PALS, NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Program
2-years minimum experience
Requirement Notes: Stabilization of a critical newborn to transfer; neonatal resuscitation; Intubation; Lumbar puncture; Peripheral venous access; Umbilical catheter placement; Circumcision; Thoracentesis; CPAP supervision
