Coverage Needed
Schedule
7am-5pm Trauma coverage Monday- Friday
Participate in 1:9 24 hour call rotation " weekend rotation is either Thursday, Saturday or Friday, Sunday
Clinical Details
Will round on 10-20 inpatients a day in addition to trauma consults and 911/811 response
Average number of admits per day = 5
Level 2 trauma center, but we operate as a level 1.Candidate must be comfortable with this.
500+ bed facility that offers all service lines and subspecialties
Consult volume: 5-10 per day
Adult and Pediatric trauma comfort required. Pediatric age range generally 8-15, mostly 13-15 within that range
Surgical Volume varies, but averages around 5-10 operations/week
Requirements
Active SC License
SC Controlled Substance and DEA
Procedures required: Predominantly blunt trauma, penetrating trauma, emergent procedures with general surgery, some ICU bedside procedures (tracheotomy, PEG tube, chest tube, etc.)
