• 24 hour Call with hospital Coverage/Follow Clinic approximately 4 hours a day M-F (no clinic/hospital on the weekends)
  

Clinical Details

• General surgery call for er/trauma and inpatient coverage
  
• Level 3 trauma certified facility - no outpatient clinic
  
• Looking for a provider for long term coverage (at least 6 months). Ideally 20 days a month
  
• Provider will support Eastern and surrounding communities. Typically 1-2 calls a day.
  
• Joining two general and one colorectal surgeon
  
• Broad scope of practice - bread and butter plus basic trauma, plastics, vascular, head and neck, colorectal, common bile duct explorations
  
• Up to 30% endoscopy - screening colonoscopies, EGDs, PEGs, advanced polypectomies
  

Requirements

• NM license
  
• NM CDS andDEA
  
• Covid vaccination
  
• Board certified/eligible general surgery
  
• ACLS, ATLS, BLS
  
• General adult/pediatric general surgery skills
  

Call

• Anticipated call 1:3
  
• Beeper
  
• 1-15 phone consults on avg per 24 hours
  
• 3-5 patients seen on avg per 24 hours
  
• 1-2 admission per day on avg per 24 hours
  
• Less then 30 mins response time
