Functions of a Medical Support Assistant (MSA) -
Offer administrative support to health care staff and perform tasks such as maintaining and updating patient records, controlling patient accounts, handling correspondence and scheduling patient appointments. Prepare patients for exam and treatment including medical history. Assists providers with exams and minor ER procedures. Provides clerical support. Maintain a stocked, clean, functional center including cleaning and disinfection. Inventory of supplies and stocks care areas. Determining the nature of the call and assisting with communicating needs regarding appointments. Prioritizing calls and making decisions on caller needs. Utilizing computer technology to ensure continuity of care through accurate patient information. Perform receptionist duties, customer service and other duties assigned for the proper and timely treatment of patients. Verifying and updating demographics and insurance information. Performing basic eligibility.

Schedule: 12 hours 3 days a week to be full time
