Description
A healthcare network in Pennsylvania is currently seeking a licensed Physician to join their growing Urgent Care team at one of their facilities in Delaware County.
***The qualified, licensed professional selected with role will have to travel to the network's other facilities on occasion. Travel reimbursement will be available!***
Responsibilities:
The Urgent Care Physician will:
- Provide and manage direct patient care, including physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses and treatment
- Perform therapeutic procedures, such as I&D, splinting, suturing, managing infection, and wound care
- Document and chart patient information in line with current policies and procedures
- Develop and implement patient management plans, record progress notes, and assist in provision of continuity of care
- Communicate with patients regarding testing results, follow-up care, and additional information
- Prescribe pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens as appropriate to assessed medical conditions
- Order diagnostic tests, such as x-ray, electrocardiogram, and laboratory tests, and interpret test results for deviation from normal
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of Clinical experience in an Ambulatory Care, Emergency Medicine and/or Urgent Care setting
- Graduate of an accredited School of Medicine
- Licensed to practice medicine in the State of Pennsylvania
- Board Eligible
- DEA license with no restrictions
- Computer savvy and working knowledge of Clinical Management systems (EMR)
