We are seeking a board-certified Emergency Medicine physician for a locum tenens opportunity at our facility near Chapin, Illinois. This is a full-time position with a variety of shift options, offering competitive compensation and the chance to work in a fast-paced environment.

Job Overview:

• Provide comprehensive emergency care to patients of all ages.


• Manage a high volume of patients in a busy emergency department setting.


• Perform a variety of emergency procedures as needed.


• Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient care.

Schedule Details:

• 12-hour shifts, rotating between day (8am-8pm) and night (8pm-8am) shifts.


• Weekend rotation required.


• No on-call responsibilities.

Facility Information:

• Approximately 14,664 annual patient volume with an average of 40 patients per day.


• 10-bed emergency department.


• 7% admission rate.


• 12 hours of advanced practice provider coverage daily.


• Designated stroke center.

Requirements:

• Board Certified in Emergency Medicine with at least two years of experience.


• Active or ability to obtain Illinois medical license.


• ACLS, BLS, and DEA certifications required.


• Participation in EDAP and Acute Stroke Ready Hospital Initiatives.
