Position Overview: In this role, you will work closely with Radiation Oncologists, playing a crucial role in preparing the history and physical health of patients prior to consultation for radiation treatments. Your responsibilities will include assessing patients, making treatment recommendations, and providing follow-up consultations. Radiation treatment experience is highly preferred for this role.

Job Details:

• Shift Type: Days, Monday to Friday, 8 am - 5 pm, immediate start.

Mandatory Requirements:

• AANP/NCCPA Certified


• Active CA License


• Active DEA


• Clean Malpractice/Background (Highly Preferred)


• Availability at name clear


• Radiation Tx Experience (Highly Preferred, Must Disclose at Submission)


• Oncology Experience (Required)


• Disclosure of any previous work at CHI/Dignity Facility (Required)


• COVID Vaccinated (Required)

Job Description: As a locum Oncology NP/PA, you will be an integral part of the outpatient Radiation Therapy Center located on the hospital campus. Your duties will involve reviewing medical records, preparing consultation notes, coordinating follow-up care and services, supporting patients' medical needs during treatment, and managing post-treatment follow-up visits.

Details:

• No call or weekends.


• Setting: Outpatient Radiation Therapy Center.


• Duties: Consultation preparation, coordination of follow-up care, and support for patients during treatment.


• Full-time position to support the team and patients.


• EMR: Utilize Aria and Cerner.


• Support Staff: 2 Physicians, 5 RNs, 3 FT front office staff, in-house Physics team (4), 6 FT Radiation Therapists.

Reason for Coverage: This locum opportunity arises from the recent departure of one NP and an extended medical leave for another, providing a chance for a skilled NP/PA to contribute to the continuity of care.
