Description Locum Tenens Gastroenterology Opportunity – Williamsport, Pennsylvania Schedule: • Start Date: August 1, 2024 • Coverage Details: 7-day blocks, one or two weeks per month • Shifts start Friday at 5 PM and end the following Friday at 5 PM • Specific dates available, updated as of January 15, 2025 • Call Responsibilities: 24-hour call coverage with a 30-minute response time Position Type: Hospital-Based Patient Load: • Weekdays: Rounding at 8 AM with 4-6 outpatient procedures (screening colonoscopies) scheduled in endoscopy • Weekends: On-call coverage with hospital rounding as needed • Patient Population: 100% Adult Support Staff: • Collaboration with Physician Assistants during rounds and throughout the day Requirements: • Board Status: Board Certified or Board Eligible • Certifications: ACLS and BLS required • Experience: Minimum 1 year preferred • Licensure: Active Pennsylvania medical license and DEA required • Notes: Candidates requiring licensure sponsorship are not eligible Job Highlights: • Provide comprehensive gastrointestinal care, including endoscopy procedures (EGD and colonoscopies) • Support team growth and transition due to upcoming retirements • Full privileges available with an estimated credentialing period of 60 days • Competitive rate of $6,500 per 24-hour shift (all-inclusive) • Travel expenses covered, including airfare, lodging ($150 cap per night), rental car, and mileage reimbursement * Some information such as the email and phone number are hidden unless you are registered and logged-in
