Description • The Congenital Heart Center at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center is seeking an advanced practice nurse to care for adult patients. • Responsibilities include but are not limited to: return visits for cardiology patients in Peoria office as well as outreach clinics, education and follow-up monitoring/coordination of adult congenital cardiology patients, assist with transitioning patients from pediatric to adult care, assist adult congenital providers with overall patient management and assist with inpatient consult service. • Congenital Cardiology or Cardiology experience preferred. • A first class pediatric cardiology and cardiac surgery program was developed at Children's Hospital of Illinois during the 1980's and 1990's. Through hard work and dedication to serving patients with the greatest care and love, our cardiac program has grown to a full-service comprehensive Congenital Heart Center with an extraordinary multidisciplinary team providing the best possible care to infants, children and adults with congenital or acquired heart defects. Our surgical program has an overall survival rate of greater than 97%. Our cardiology team has specialists and expertise in the areas of ECHO, fetal ECHO, transesophageal ECHO, electrophysiology, cardiac MRI/MRA, interventional catheterization and critical care. • As the flagship medical center for one of the largest Catholic healthcare systems in the United States, OSF Saint Francis Medical Center is the area’s only Level 1 Trauma Center.
