• Provides patient care and diagnosis in all areas of Pediatrics to newborns, children and adolescents
• Examines patients to determine the presence of disease and establish preventive health practices
• Determines nature and extent of disease or injury
• Prescribes and administer medications and immunizations
• Precepts medical students and residents in the clinic, newborn nursery and general pediatric ward
• Supervises physician assistants in the clinical setting
• Ensures compliance with HIPAA and billing regulations
• Participates in research and scholarly activities within the Department of Pediatrics
• Demonstrates professionalism in accordance with the Paul L. Foster School of Medicine’s Declaration of Faculty Professional Responsibility
• Participates in the education of medical students and residents of the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center Paul L. Foster School of Medicine

Skills

Minimum Qualifications:

• M.D. / D.O. degree or foreign medical equivalent degree
• Successful completion of ACGME accredited pediatrics residency program
• Eligible to obtain a Texas State Medical License

Preferred Qualifications:
• Board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics
