Aphrodite Aesthetics & Wellness is seeking an MD or DO with experience in hormone replacement therapy, peptide protocols, and wellness medicine to serve as Medical Director for our growing practice in Prescott, AZ.
This is a part-time, hybrid role combining one in-office clinical day per week with telehealth support for follow-up visits, lab reviews, and treatment oversight.

The ideal physician has experience with BHRT/TRT, peptide therapy, functional wellness, and is comfortable supervising medical aesthetic procedures including laser skin resurfacing, laser hair removal, and energy-based treatments.

Responsibilities
Hormone & Peptide Therapy

Review labs, patient histories, and develop individualized BHRT and TRT treatment plans

Approve and adjust peptide protocols (metabolic, regenerative, anti-aging, and performance peptides)

Conduct new patient consultations and telehealth follow-ups

Provide clinical oversight to ensure quality and safety standards are met

Aesthetic Medicine Oversight

Medical supervision for laser resurfacing, laser hair removal, and related procedures

Support advanced protocols for skin rejuvenation, energy-based devices, and medical aesthetics

Review adverse events and ensure documentation compliance

Clinical Leadership & Compliance

Maintain compliance with Arizona medical supervision requirements

Collaborate with clinical staff (NP, RN injectors)

Support development of clinical guidelines and evidence-based protocols

Qualifications

MD or DO with active Arizona medical license (required)

Experience in:
• BHRT / TRT
• Peptide therapy
• Functional or integrative medicine

Preferred experience in medical aesthetics supervision (lasers, energy-based devices)

Strong clinical judgment and passion for wellness-based medicine

Excellent communication and ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team

Schedule

4–10 hours per week

One onsite clinic day weekly (flexible scheduling)

Telehealth availability for follow-ups and new patient consultations

Ideal for physicians seeking supplemental income or flexible practice opportunities

Compensation

$1,000 monthly retainer

$125 per paid patient consultation (telehealth or in-office)

Typical earnings range: $1,500–$3,500/month depending on patient volume

Skills

• Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT/TRT):
Experience evaluating comprehensive lab panels, optimizing sex hormones, thyroid, adrenal function, and metabolic markers. Ability to tailor individualized hormone treatment plans based on evidence-based functional medicine principles.

• Peptide Therapy:
Familiarity with prescribing or managing peptide protocols related to metabolic health, weight optimization, anti-aging, tissue repair, cognitive enhancement, or performance/longevity support. Prior experience with peptide compounding pharmacies is preferred but not required.

• Functional & Preventive Medicine:
Background or interest in integrative, regenerative, or anti-aging medicine. Comfortable reviewing labs and making treatment decisions that support long-term wellness outcomes.

• Medical Aesthetic Oversight:
Experience supervising or performing treatments such as laser skin resurfacing, laser hair removal, IPL, CO?, or other energy-based aesthetic devices. Knowledgeable in safety protocols, adverse event management, and treatment plan approval.

• Telemedicine & Patient Communication:
Experience conducting virtual consultations, reviewing labs and treatment progress remotely, and maintaining clear documentation.
Ideal candidates should have strong clinical judgment, excellent patient communication skills, and a collaborative approach to working with NPs, RNs, and aesthetic providers.
