Coverage Details
-- Monday through Friday, 8 AM–5 PM
-- 3–6 month assignment
-- Credentialing timeframe: approximately 40–45 days

Requirements
-- AP board certified
-- Active New York state license

-- Surgical pathology
-- Cytology

Assignment Details
-- Responsibilities include general anatomic pathology, frozen sections, and cytology interpretation
-- Locum will gross own specimens and cut own frozen sections
-- Surgical pathology volume: approximately 13,000 specimens annually
-- Cytology volume: approximately 3,000 specimens annually
-- Other pathologists on site
-- Support staff includes physicians, histotechnologists, a pathology assistant, and cytotechnologists
-- Cytology proficiency exam required for GYN cytology
-- EMR: Epic / Beaker

Facility Details
-- Hospital-based pathology lab
-- Cytology preparation method: ThinPrep
-- Lab certifications: CLIA, NYS
-- Trauma level: Level III
-- Equipment includes ThinPrep Integrated Imager (Hologic)
-- Cryostats: Avantik QS12UV, Avantik QS II
-- Microscopes: Nikon Eclipse E400, Olympus BX41
