Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) – Perm Voice Grosse Pointe Farms, MI


Henry Ford Health is actively seeking a experienced and highly qualified Full-Time Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our Ambulatory Division at the Henry Ford Cottage Surgery Center located in Grosse Pointe Farms, Michigan. This opportunity offers a collaborative anesthesia care model with no call, no weekend shifts, and a generous $40,000 sign-on bonus, all within a high-quality outpatient surgical environment.


Position Overview:

The CRNA will be responsible for delivering safe, effective anesthesia services across a diverse range of surgical specialties in an outpatient setting. Working closely with anesthesiologists and multidisciplinary surgical teams, the ideal candidate will conduct comprehensive pre-anesthesia assessments, develop individualized anesthesia plans, and administer various anesthesia modalities while ensuring optimal patient outcomes.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Conduct thorough pre-anesthesia evaluations, including risk assessments and medical history reviews.

  • Develop and implement customized anesthesia care plans tailored to each patient.

  • Administer general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care, utilizing intravenous, inhalation, and regional techniques.

  • Provide anesthesia for a wide variety of surgical procedures including total joint replacements, orthopedics, sports medicine, plastic surgery, urology, gynecology, ophthalmology, podiatry, dental, pediatrics, endoscopy, and general surgery.

  • Manage anesthesia for patients of all ages and ASA physical status classes, including pediatric and geriatric populations.

  • Ensure airway management and intervene as necessary during procedures.

  • Monitor intraoperative patient condition, manage anesthesia-related complications, and adjust care as appropriate.

  • Deliver post-anesthesia recovery care and pain management, ensuring patient safety.

  • Maintain accurate, compliant documentation within EPIC EMR.

  • Travel to other ambulatory sites as operational needs dictate.

  • Collaborate effectively within a fast-paced environment alongside over 40 CRNAs and 10 senior physicians.



Qualifications:


  • Current certification as a CRNA with active NBCRNA certification.

  • Valid ACLS and BLS certification.

  • Proven experience in anesthesia administration, particularly in outpatient surgical settings.

  • Strong clinical judgment and excellent communication skills.

  • Must not be a recent graduate, nor should candidates have lapsed certifications requiring re-credentialing.

  • Candidates should possess a minimum of one year of relevant anesthesia experience.

  • Candidates with visa status (H1B or J1) are encouraged to apply.

  • Not suitable for long-distance commuters (>1 hour) or candidates seeking alternate shift schedules.
