Locum - Physician - Maternal Fetal Medicine Richmond, VA
Are you an experienced Maternal Fetal Medicine specialist seeking a flexible, rewarding opportunity to support a dynamic healthcare team? We are currently seeking a dedicated Locum Physician to provide expert care in Maternal Fetal Medicine at a reputable facility in Richmond, VA. Required Skills:
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Maternal Fetal Medicine
- Proficiency in high-risk obstetric care, including amniocentesis, chorionic villus sampling, and ultrasound
- Experience managing high-risk pregnancies with co-morbidities
- Strong clinical judgment and attention to detail
- Familiarity with EPIC or similar electronic medical records systems
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Nice to Have Skills:
- Certification in beyond basic obstetrics and gynecology
- Experience supervising nurse practitioners or physician assistants
- Knowledge of fetal and maternal co-morbidities management
- Ability to perform ultrasound procedures with confidence
Preferred Education and Experience:
- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
- Active medical license in Virginia or ability to obtain licensure
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in Maternal Fetal Medicine
- Prior locum or healthcare staffing experience preferred but not required
Other Requirements:
- Willingness to work during the specified open dates with flexible scheduling
- Credentialing process to be completed within approximately 90 days
- Ability to provide coverage in both outpatient and inpatient settings
- Coverage includes site-specific COVID-19 protocols and adherence to healthcare guidelines
- Reimbursements for travel, including flights, hotels, rental cars, and mileage at IRS standard rates
