Medix is partnering with one of the largest interventional pain management physician groups in the U.S. to find a dedicated Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join their clinical team in Virginia. As a key clinician, you will work under physician supervision to manage patient care plans and serve as a vital resource for patient education. Location: Virginia Facility Type: Interventional Pain Management Clinic Start Date: May 25, 2026 Length of Assignment: Direct Hire Schedule: Monday–Friday (Flexible start times between 7:30 AM – 9:00 AM); 40 Hours Per Week State License Needed: Virginia Responsibilities --> Obtain patient medical history and conduct physical examinations for assigned patients. --> Conduct independent follow-up visits consistent with Incident II guidelines. --> Update and verify the accuracy of patient records during every appointment. --> Analyze test data to determine the necessity for follow-up care and further treatment options. --> Develop and assess medical care plans under physician supervision, including treatment recommendations. --> Maintain high productivity metrics while delivering quality clinical care. --> Serve as a patient educator by providing ongoing counseling, guidance, and care information. --> Administer first aid and follow drug protocols effectively during medical emergencies. --> Adhere to all infection control, OSHA, and HIPAA privacy rules to ensure a safe clinical environment. --> Assist with administrative duties, including maintaining clinical logs and preparing patient paperwork.
Skills
Required Skills & Qualifications --> Licensure: Active and valid practitioner license in the state of practice; possession of or eligibility for DEA and NPI. --> Education: Completed Master’s Degree from an accredited graduate program. --> Certification: Current NCCPA certification (for PAs) or relevant NP certification; current CPR, BLS, and ACLS certifications. --> Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word/Excel) and experience with EMR systems (Centricity or Modernizing Medicine preferred). --> Clinical Excellence: Strong knowledge of healthcare operations and best practices within a specialty care setting. --> Aptitude: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while remaining resourceful and proactive.
