Facility in Colonial Heights, VA seeking Primary Care locums coverageRates: $180/hr A community-based primary care clinic is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Physician to provide locum tenens coverage beginning May 15, 2026. Average 22 patients per day
Patient population includes:
Adults
Geriatric patients
Pediatric patients Clinical Responsibilities
Provide outpatient primary care services including:
Routine adult outpatient care
General pediatric outpatient care
Preventive medicine and chronic disease management
Pelvic exams and Pap smears
Minor procedures including:
Suturing minor lacerations
Incision and drainage (I&D)
Practice Environment
Primary care clinic within a larger health system
1 Advanced Practice Provider on-site
Provider will not be responsible for supervising APPs Additional details:
3 exam rooms assigned to the provider
10 total exam rooms in the clinic
Facility Resources
On-site laboratory
On-site radiology
Emergency equipment available including:
Defibrillator
Airway supplies
Provider Responsibilities
No call coverage required
No ED backup required
No in-house code response required
EMR: Epic Credentialing
Estimated credentialing timeframe: 45–60 days Travel & Reimbursement:

Board Certified or Board Eligible – required
Active Virginia medical license – required
BLS certification – required
Provider must be available to start May 15 and commit to 6 months – required
